Cliffs of Moher
Standing on top of a 700-foot-high cliff overlooking the wild Atlantic below is an unforgettable experience at Cliffs of Moher.
The views are incredible, and many couples want to elope here for that reason. There are also a number of friendly Irish pubs with live Irish music and a large number of locals to visit afterwards.
Many couples enjoy ending their Ireland elopement day with a pint of Guinness in hand, dancing and singing!
Howth Cliffs
The best location for an elopement ceremony at Howth Cliffs is on the peninsula which is along a narrow walking path along the peninsula’s southeast edge, providing an amazing view of the Baily Lighthouse.

A farmer owns the field, and for a fee, he will allow you access to it. The best part is if you book this field ahead of time, you will have the entire field to yourself!
Causeway Coastline
If you’re feeling adventurous then this may be the best location for an Ireland elopement!
The Causeway Coast is one of Ireland’s most beautiful and dramatic coastlines. With its rocky cliffs, white sand beaches, and beautiful waterways, it is the ideal setting for a private and romantic elopement.
A stunning cliff-top walk with incredible scenery can be found along the North Coast’s coastline– starting at Dunseverick Castle, you can walk for just under two hours to the Giants Causeway, taking in some breathtaking scenery along the way.
You don’t have to walk the entire two hours; the epic views begin almost immediately, giving you plenty of time to explore other areas nearby.
The Mourne Mountains
The Mourne Mountains for your Ireland Elopement would be ideal for those of you who enjoy exploring, hiking, and camping in nature.
If you want to spend more time exploring on your elopement day, The Mourne Mountains are the place to be.
You could spend all day exploring these mountains. If you want to spend your elopement day adventuring, you could have a sunrise ceremony, then spend the rest of the day adventuring, even having a picnic and taking in the views.
Gougane Barra – St Finbarr’s Oratory
Gougane Barra in Cork, Ireland, has everything you could possibly need for your Ireland Elopement.
There is a hotel on site, which is an ideal location for an elopement with a few guests.
There’s also a small church surrounded by the Sheehy Mountains and there is a beautiful forest nearby that would be a lovely place to exchange your vows.
Whiterocks Beach, Portrush
Whiterocks Beach is right on the causeway’s coastal route and is one of Northern Ireland’s favourite beaches.
It’s easy to see why– with limestone cliffs stretching from Curran Strand to Dunluce Castle.
It’s a lovely setting for your Ireland elopement, and because it’s on the north coast of Northern Ireland, there are plenty of amazing locations nearby to explore which is great for photo opportunities.
