There is a certain dose of extraordinariness in spring weddings. The plethora of flowers accompanied by pastel colours make these nuptials exceptionally special. That being said, this styled shoot was curated to bring spring inspiration to the next level. A celebration among cherry blossoms and wildflower displays combined with a pink ruffled wedding skirt is everything a spring wedding is all about.
As a bespoke wedding planner and stylist, I wanted to tailor something special, so I portrayed spring in a miraculous manner with a team of incredible creatives. And while the pink ruffled wedding skirt is perfectly dreamy, I loved to achieve a cohesive feel – the bride’s short bridal dress matched with chic pink shoes during the reception. However, the bride’s look would not be complete if it wasn’t complemented by the wonderful reception decor that includes an abundance of flowers and decorative vases in matching colours.
Ballykealey House
A modern wedding happening in spring requires a special location, such as the Ballykealey House. This charming house located in Ireland, close to the scenic village of Ballon was the ideal place for this styled shoot. This fairytale-like place is perfect for timeless and elegant weddings because it encompasses a blend of modern and historical elements.
However, it is not only the house that serves as spring inspiration. The garden of this whimsical spot goes hand in hand with the spring wedding attire and decor. The photos would not have been so breathtaking if it were not for the magic of the surroundings.
Ruffled wedding skirt
Our styled shoot includes two spring inspiration bridal looks. A modern wedding in the flowery season cannot go without a pink ruffled wedding skirt. This is the ideal attire for a conventional bride that wants to achieve fascinating photographs in the astonishing surroundings of nature.
The ruffled skirt is the ultimate wedding attire that does not require additional accessories. It channels the perfect amount of drama. The lovely bride only wore discrete earrings, which brought a perfect finish to the look. If you strive for an effortless appearance, you will achieve a transcendent result with simple yet elegant details.
We combined the ruffled skirt with a plain top and pastel pink shoes. Nothing too shiny to be able to blend with the natural ambience in an excellent manner. The hair of the bride was kept in natural waves so it genuinely complemented the setting.
For the reception, the ruffled wedding skirt was replaced by a delightful short wedding dress in combination with bright pink shoes. This bridal reception look was accompanied by a loosely pinned hairstyle to accent the elegance of the whole appearance.
Wedding details
The styled shoot included spring colours and floral decor, which gave a fresh and modern feel. Colourful glassware and gold cutlery details contributed to the wow effect of the whole setting. We focused on the minimalist style to create genuine spring inspiration that goes with this season.
There are countless possibilities to incorporate in a spring wedding setting, but the hand-picked floral arrangements along with bright pastel colours cannot be omitted in a scenery like this.
