We are building on more than a century of history here and have put our heart and soul into restoring and enhancing Poulaphouca House to its very best. Our 36 acres are part of an area of unspoiled natural beauty, wrapped in woods, lakes, wildlife, and wonder. Our vision, passion, and dedication to Poulaphouca are evident from the moment you arrive and we would love nothing more than to welcome you along with your friends and family to our beautiful home to celebrate your wedding day.

How long has Poulaphouca House been open?
After a lengthy refurbishment, we re-opened in 2019, building on more than 100 years of history in West Wicklow here in Ireland.

Does the venue support a certain wedding theme?
Rustic would be the look and feel, with our restored historic Barn playing home to the vast majority of our weddings.
Do you offer accommodation?
Yes, we are now up to 14 double rooms including several family rooms accommodating more than 30 people. Particularly popular are our new Shephard’s Hut, gate-lodge room, and the two wonderful Double Bay window rooms including the Bridal Suite in the Main House.
What’s the most memorable wedding you have hosted?
It wouldn’t be fair for us to pick just one – we tend to have the most spectacular and enjoyable celebrations. We love hosting weddings in our Barn, ceremonies in our beautiful gardens in the summer, and welcoming couples down to our historic Waterfall.
