Tell us about your Ballykealey House?

A wedding present from a father to his only daughter. Rising majestically from lush, green parklands and approached by a long, winding driveway. Ballykealey House, having retained those unique architectural features and its beautiful interiors including intricate stucco work and fine marble fireplaces, is as elegant today as it was in the 1830s.

Ballykealey House is tucked away beneath the Blackstairs Mountains close to the picturesque village of Ballon, Co Carlow, in Ireland’s Ancient East. We’re just a 20-minute drive from Carlow town, 30-minutes from Kilkenny, and approximately an hour from Dublin.

We have many beautiful locations, both indoors and out, and we encourage our couples to make the most of the house and grounds when planning their day. With all these options, you can definitely put your own stamp on the day and our Wedding Manager Angela is on hand to help you maximize the potential of Ballykealey House. From an intimate gathering in the Oak Room to a larger celebration in the Ballroom we can offer different options to couples and tailor the day to suit what they are looking for.
