Located in Dublin’s historic Georgian quarter, No. 25 Fitzwilliam Place has been lovingly restored and decorated in a classic yet contemporary style highlighting its original period features. No. 25 has a long tradition of warmth, love and romance that can be felt as soon as you walk through our Georgian doors.

Offering a warm welcome, excellent food, and flawless service, our expert wedding team at No. 25 guarantees that the legacy of warmth and hospitality that were a benchmark of our house in 1843 continues to be felt today. We operate a one wedding per day policy ensuring that couples have exclusive use of the house, its exquisite private rooms, sumptuous fine dining menus, and warm, attentive service for the entirety of their wedding or civil ceremony.

What’s the capacity for weddings?

Our regular wedding capacity is 60 for a seated dinner with the option to add 30 guests for an evening reception. At the moment we are working with the current regulations and will continue to do so for as long as necessary.

Can you hold ceremonies?

Yes, we are fully licensed to host civil ceremonies.

Do you offer catering services?

Yes, we provide all of your catering for your wedding. Our chefs are passionate about supporting local farmers, producers, and fishermen and excel at creating imaginative dishes with seasonal ingredients. We offer our guests a refined Irish culinary experience in a contemporary Georgian setting.

How long has NO.25 Fitzwilliam Place been open?

The Kelly family has owned and operated this carefully preserved example of quintessential Georgian design since 2005, we have been hosting weddings since 2012.


What should couples know before choosing their wedding venue?

Couples should have a good idea of the number of guests they’d like to have at their wedding as this will have a big impact on the spaces available to them. It’s a good idea to have a couple of possible dates too so you can build in flexibility in case the venue you want doesn’t have availability on your first preference date.

Tell me something about NO.25 Fitzwilliam Place which I can’t find in your brochure?

No. 25 was a family home for over 100 years, and we have done extensive research on the former residents. One of our former residents was a doctor during the 1916 Rising, another had international caps for playing Cricket, Rugby, and Tennis for Ireland, and another was instrumental in the company responsible for carrying mail between Ireland and England in the 1800s. Our townhouse has a rich history, and we love adding to it with every couple who chooses to get married here.

On a more current note, we recently won the award for Top Rated Ireland Wedding Venue in Dublin in this year’s Wedding Dates Awards. It was a lovely honour as the award is based on reviews from couples who got married here with us.

Does NO.25 Fitzwilliam Place support a certain wedding theme?

We are a beautifully restored Georgian townhouse with lots of original features, so we add a touch of old-school glamour to your wedding, while also providing all of the comforts and perks you would expect from a contemporary venue. A lot of our couples like to take the house just as it is but we’re always open to talking to couples about their ideas. We have had a lot of creative themes over the years and we love bringing couples’ ideas to life with them.

Do you offer accommodation?

We don’t offer accommodation, but we have great relationships with a number of local providers to who we can introduce couples.

What’s the best season to get married at your venue?

Every season brings something special so it’s hard to pick just one. We love summer weddings as the Grand Canal runs just behind us and couples always make the most of it for romantic outdoor photo opportunities. That said, there is also something magical about a winter wedding when the house is lit up with its festive lights.

What’s the most memorable wedding you have hosted?

Every wedding is memorable in its own way, but we have to say hosting our general manager John Healy’s wedding last year was an extra special one for us. John gives so much to the team here and it was wonderful to be able to look after him and his partner Jovan on their big day.
